Parent to Parent
Established in 1968, Young People’s Village has been a privileged part of history here in Temple City. Children are our passion and when you enroll at Young People’s Village, you become family. We welcome back all alumni to visit and we look forward to seeing how successful they have become. I love it when children enroll whose parents were once students here!
At Young People’s Village we welcome children of all races, colors and creeds. Our diversity is celebrated through culturally centered celebrations and events!

“I write this email in anticipation for Teacher Appreciation Week, however, it could have been written week one of this school year. I love my children’s teachers! I love, that my children LOVE going to school. This enthusiasm starts with each and every one of you. In the morning, my babes are greeted by Ms. Rose, Ms. Veronica and Ms. Gracie; always with smiles, and good morning hellos. Ms. Diane and Ms. Karen fill their day with wonder, laughter and love. We have a daily routine in the car on the way home of telling each other our favorite thing of the day. My kids go on and on about their teachers and all the amazing things they are learning. I know their teachers have a personal relationship with my kids making us feel like we are the most special. I’m sure each child in their classes must feel this way. This is definitely a sign of great teachers, making all their students feel so special. Like most parents of children this age there’s so much apprehension of leaving your child at a facility to be essential raised by other people. This could be farther from the truth. Young People’s Village has been an extension of our home. My children feel loved everyday knowing they can be themselves. They’re encouraged and guided to explorer their world around them. This makes me feel so comfortable to go to work every day knowing my children are having the best school experience. The first time I dropped off my littlest, he was so sad for his first day of school and it crushed my heart to leave him. Ms. Nina scooped him up and made his first day so much fun. When I picked him up he had so much to tell me about his amazing first day. This matters to me. Ms. Karen, Ms. Daine and Ms. Nina, thank you for all your hard work and dedication. And most importantly for loving my Lil’ Arcs!”.
“We love you.”

“My wife and I are very amazed at how much Camilla has learned since she has been at Young People’s Village. She loves coming to school and enjoys her days at school even from her 1st week. We noticed the improvement in her learning skills and especially in her social skills.
Recently we took our daughter to another daycare center because my wife work was too far, it was more convenient. Camilla was distressed and unhappy every day when she got home. We came early sometimes and noticed that teachers did not play with kids or explain to them when they made mistakes. As parents, we knew that we made a wrong turn for our daughter at that daycare. I am thankful that Camilla was able to come back to Young People’s Village. Camilla loves coming to school again especially having a lot of fun activities everyday to share with her friends. When she gets home she is always sharing with us about her happy times at Young People’s Village. This is a safe environment with teachers that treat them like their own children. We would love to recommend Young People’s Village to anyone”.

“Isabella’s first week at Young People’s Village was Open House at the school. Seeing as how Isabella had only started 4 days before, I didn’t think she would have anything up at the Open House. I was completely wrong-she had pictures, a progress report and her own folder!! I was thrilled!
You know when your child starts to ask for a teacher by name, you have made the right decision by bringing her to Young People’s Village I couldn’t be more happy about her progress and the interaction I have had with her teachers and the Director.”

“Young People’s Village is a fun, safe and welcoming place. The teachers are incredible at addressing individual needs. They allow the kids to explore and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone, while still providing a sense of security.
Our son loved it here”.

“After attending Young People’s Village for almost one month, now my son (a spoiled one) is able to feed, wear shoes and try to do things independently. His lack of social skills has also improved. He is more open to say “hi” and play with other kids. Teachers here are great and experienced, especially Miss Gracie. She pays special attention to my son and always informs me of his behavior and performance in school. Arthur sees Miss Gracie and walks over and stays with her! I know that I have given my son to good and caring hands. So many good words to say but to cut it short, I would highly recommend Young People’s Village School to all parents. This school is the one for your kids to learn, socialize, play and grow.
I am truly thankful for their caring, loving and good work and glad that I’ve picked the right one for my son”.

“Young People’s Village provides a safe and rewarding environment for pre-schoolers. We sent two of our children to this enriching facility. The school is clean and safe, have up to date equipment and playground for the children. The entire faculty is friendly, helpful, and always provides a warm feeling to the parents. It also provides lots of extra-curricular activities, if parents decide to sign their children up for it, such as dancing, gymnastic, art, foreign languages, music, etc. Other fun activities such as puppet shows, snow day, water play, theme week, petting zoo happens at Young People’s Village. They also invite local police and fire department to speak about safety. Last, but not least are the teachers. They are wonderful! Most importantly, they care. It is because of the qualities of the teachers, that we enrolled our second child to Young People’s Village. Both our children have positive memories of Young People’s Villageand we recommend it highly”

“I am a teacher and searched around for a pre-school that had a great balance of learning and play. Many pre-schools in the area were either too focused on learning with very little time for indoor or outdoor play or they did not provide enough learning and seemed more like a daycare. I love Young People’s Village because the classroom environment is always vibrant and full of creative artwork. My son currently attends Young People’s Village but my daughter, who is going to start 3rd grade also went to school there for about 2 1/2 years.I love how clean it is, the variety of lunches they provide and the flexible hours (6 am to 6 pm), which are great for working parents. My daughter was not quite potty trained when she started, but within one week, they helped her get fully potty-trained which is also a plus because many pre-schools do not accept children if they’re not potty-trained.The playground is fabulous and is very-well maintained. Teachers are always out there to make sure the children are safe. They have fun monthly themes and activities, especially in the summer. The director, Ms. Annette, was actually my daughter’s teacher at Young People’s Village before she was promoted and she was definitely one of the best teachers my daughter ever had! My daughter still remembers the “Spelling Bee” and color songs they did in class. She has been an outstanding director too and has helped to organize the school even more than it was. She continues to incorporate new activities and fundraisers to enrich the children’s learning experience. Ms. Andrea, who was our son’s teacher, helped him learn to write his name and many of the fundamentals that will prepare him for Kindergarten! She is also an outstanding teacher with many creative ideas! My family and I have been so pleased with Young People’s Village and highly recommend it to anyone searching for a balanced pre-school experience!”

“If we could give Young People’s Village more than 5 stars, we would! I can’t say enough good things about this school. My husband and I took our time searching for schools for our 2 year old. We wanted to make sure the facility was safe and the teachers were professional and caring. As soon as we toured the grounds of Young People’s Village and met our son’s potential teachers, we knew we had found the place. Since day one, Miss Annette, the director, has been very pleasant and helpful. Every time we had a question or concern, she was always available with a friendly ear. 2 1/2 years later, our son is still loving his school. All the teachers he’s had along the way have developed a special bond with him. I can’t say that would’ve happened at another school. The grounds are clean and each class room is filled with color and imagination. You can tell the teachers love what they do by the way they treat each child and the way they keep their class rooms. To any parent out there, searching for a loving and safe learning environment, please check out Young People’s Village. I had attended this school as a young child and have fond memories. I know our son will, too”.
